Baskets
Baskets shows what people put in a basket on your storefront, and what happened next. A basket appears here as soon as someone adds something.
The line above the table sums it up, for example: 12 of 40 baskets · 9 not ordered, worth $1,240.00.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Who | The shopper’s name, once they’ve typed it at checkout. Until then, Not given yet. If they’re a known customer, Open their record links to them. |
| From | Country, IP address and device. Not recorded if the browser didn’t say. |
| What happened | Still shopping, Left or Ordered (with the order number). |
| Items | What’s in the basket, with quantities. |
| Value | The basket’s subtotal. |
| Idle | How long since the shopper last did anything. |
| Bump | Nudge the shopper. See Bumping a basket. |
Open a row to see more of what the shopper’s browser told us: Language, Came from (the site that sent them) and Landed on (the first page they saw).
How fresh a basket is
Section titled “How fresh a basket is”The Idle time is coloured by how long it’s been:
| Label | Idle for |
|---|---|
| Active | Under an hour. |
| Cooling | 1 to 24 hours. |
| Stale | Over a day. |
Filter and sort
Section titled “Filter and sort”Search by name, email or order number. The filter shows Open or left by default; switch to All baskets, Still shopping, Left or Ordered. Click What happened, Items, Value or Idle to sort.
When a basket counts as left
Section titled “When a basket counts as left”A basket that has the shopper’s email and goes quiet for longer than your abandoned-basket window is marked Left. Baskets with no email stay Still shopping, but still count toward the “not ordered” total. Set the window in Settings under Call a basket abandoned after (in minutes).
If you have an active abandoned-basket email on Emails / Notifications, the shopper gets it once. Set the window to 0 to stop these emails without deleting the template.
The email links back to their basket, with everything still in it. When they come back, the basket returns to Still shopping. They’re only ever reminded once per basket.
Shoppers’ name and email are saved as they type them at checkout, so a basket can be followed up even if they never finish checking out.
Bumping a basket
Section titled “Bumping a basket”Bump lets you nudge a shopper yourself. It’s available on any basket that hasn’t become an order.
Choose How:
- On screen — shows a message on your storefront the next time their tab is open, until they close it. Your note is what they see; leave it empty to show your template’s subject instead.
- Email — sends your When you bump a basket email template to the shopper. Your note fills the
{{note}}placeholder. Only available once the shopper has given an email.
The row then shows when you bumped it and how — and for on-screen bumps, whether they’ve seen it.
Adding to a basket doesn’t hold stock. Stock is set aside only when the shopper checks out.
