Inventory

Inventory shows how many of each product you have on hand, size by size.

Each row shows the Product, SKU, Availability and On hand count. Click the arrow next to a product with sizes to see each size on its own row.

  • Counts of 10 or under show a Low badge.
  • Hidden from shoppers under a count means shoppers see In stock instead of the number.

Search by product or SKU, and filter by In stock, Out of stock or Low stock. Click a column heading to sort.

Click Adjust on a product or size. Choose how to change it:

  • Add or remove — type the difference, like +5 or -2.
  • Set the count — type what you counted on the shelf.

The panel shows On hand after before you save. Add a Reason, like Damaged, Recount or Received a delivery, and click Save count. A count can’t go below zero.

Click History to see every change to a count: when, how much, the count after, and why.

Why What happened
Sold An order was placed.
Sold in a kit A kit containing it was sold.
Checkout failed, put back Stock set aside for a checkout that didn’t go through.
Order cancelled, put back An order was cancelled.
Adjusted by hand Someone used Adjust.
Spreadsheet import A spreadsheet upload changed it.
Product edited Someone changed the quantity on the product.
  • Stock is set aside when a shopper checks out, not when they add to their basket.
  • If the checkout fails, it goes back.
  • Cancelling an order puts back what checkout took. Orders you recorded by hand don’t take stock, so cancelling them puts nothing back.

On each product you choose whether shoppers see the number in stock or just In stock / Out of stock. Turn on Show quantity on the storefront in the product to show the number.

Use Download spreadsheet and Upload spreadsheet at the top of the page to update many counts at once. The file has these columns: SKU, Product, Size, Quantity, In stock and Publish quantity.

The upload only updates stock. A SKU your store doesn’t have is reported, not created, so a typo can’t add a product. As with products, you see what will change before you click Apply these changes.
