Lots / Batches
A lot (or batch) is one production run of a product. It ties a quantity of that product to the dates and lab documents that describe it.
You need at least one product before you can add a lot.
The lot list
Section titled “The lot list”Each row shows the Lot number, Product (name and SKU), Quantity, Manufactured and Expires dates, Status, and how many Documents are attached.
Search by lot number, product, SKU or notes, and filter by status. Click a column heading to sort.
Adding a lot
Section titled “Adding a lot”Click Add lot and fill in:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Product | Required. |
| Size | For a product with sizes, pick the size this batch is. Its certificates then show against that size on the storefront. Choose The whole product to cover every size. |
| Lot number | Made from the SKU if you leave it blank. Letters and numbers only; other characters become -. Up to 48 characters. If the number is taken, Lattice adds -2, -3 and so on. |
| Quantity | Units in this batch. |
| Manufactured on, Expires on | Optional dates. |
| Status | See below. New lots start as Draft. |
| Notes | Internal only. Never shown on the storefront. |
Lot status
Section titled “Lot status”| Status | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Draft | Recorded, not yet cleared. |
| Released | Cleared to sell. |
| Quarantined | On hold while something is checked. |
| Expired | Past its date. |
You set the status yourself. Lattice doesn’t change it, even after the expiry date.
Lot status is your record. It doesn’t stop a product from selling, and certificates for the lot still show on the storefront while they’re Active. To stop showing a batch’s certificate, set the certificate to Withdrawn on COAs / Lab Documents. To stop selling, set the product or size out of stock or to draft.
Analytics lists released lots that expire in the next 90 days.
Lots and products
Section titled “Lots and products”- A product’s edit panel shows its batches and their certificates under Batches and certificates.
- You can’t delete a product that has lots, or remove a size that a lot uses. Delete or move the lots first.
- Moving a lot to another product moves its certificates with it.
Deleting a lot
Section titled “Deleting a lot”You can’t delete a lot that has lab documents attached. Delete those on COAs / Lab Documents first.
